By accessing or using DocuForge ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DocuForge is a cloud-based document management platform that allows users to create, organize, and collaborate on documents. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service to store or distribute illegal, defamatory, or infringing content
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or store through the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating the Service.

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by DocuForge and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, branding, or proprietary materials except as necessary to use the Service.

8. Availability & Support

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible. Support is available via email at hello@docuforge.io.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocuForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DocuForge, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make your data available for export for 30 days following termination, after which it may be permanently deleted.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
